What is CHT?

A professional development system for patient transport

The CHT is the national credential for patient transporters, but it is built to do more than confirm a skill set. It develops consistent, professional teams: better onboarding, stronger accountability, and more confident patient interactions. Transporters are often the first and last person a patient sees — and with a portion of hospital reimbursement tied to patient-satisfaction scores, their professionalism reaches the bottom line.

Credentialing is managed by Impact Training Company and endorsed by the National Association of Healthcare Transport Management (NAHTM). It is delivered inside your hospital through a train-the-trainer model, so your own leaders certify your transporters using the endorsed curriculum. Used in hospital patient transport education and workforce development since 2003.
